METSS Corporation receives $14.0M award to establish domestic production of DoD critical chemicals

METSS was one of seven companies awarded contracts by the Department of Defense (DoD) under the Defense Production Act Investments (DPAI) Program to stimulate the domestic production of a total of twenty-two chemicals that are critical to the DoD. METSS will focus establishing, expanding, and modernizing manufacturing capability for 9 of the 22 military grade chemicals that are used in formulations for defense systems, including non-energetic chemicals and precursors for both energetic and non-energetic chemicals.

JPEO-CBRND supports biennial exercise of the Joint Biological Agent Decontamination System

METSS researches are supporting AFRL's 711th Human Performance Wing as the Air Force evaluates the capability of using common ground heaters to raise the interior temperature of a C-17 transport aircraft to kill viral agents.

JSF pilot ensemble designed to keep out chemical, biological agents

As a contractor to AFRL's 711th Human Performance Wing, METSS is supporting flight tests being conducted by the 461st FLTS to evaluate the evaluate CB protection capability of JSF pilot ensemble.

Joint Teams Conduct First F-22 In-Flight Tests for Aircrew CBRN Protection

The U.S. Air Force conducted the first in-flight vapor purge tests on the F-22 Raptor at Nellis Air Force Base in Oct. 2022. METSS provided lead test support as a prime contractor for AFRL's 711th Human Performance Wing.

Experiment enhances C-130’s competitive edge against CBRN threat

METSS conducted vapor purge testing on a cargo plane as part of a series of experiments on aircraft across the Department of Defense. METSS is supporting this effort as a prime contractor for AFRL 711th Human Performance Wing. 

F-35 prepared to undergo chemical, biological decontamination testing

After years of preparation, the 461st Flight Test Squadron and Joint Strike Fighter Integrated Test Force test the F-35 Lightning II’s ability to be decontaminated from chemical and biological weapons exposure. METSS was the prime contractor for AFRL's 711th Human Performance Wing developing and executing this effort.
