METSS Corporation receives $14.0M award to establish domestic production of DoD critical chemicals
METSS was one of seven companies awarded contracts by the Department of Defense (DoD) under the Defense Production Act Investments (DPAI) Program to stimulate the domestic production of a total of twenty-two chemicals that are critical to the DoD. METSS will focus establishing, expanding, and modernizing manufacturing capability for 9 of the 22 military grade chemicals that are used in formulations for defense systems, including non-energetic chemicals and precursors for both energetic and non-energetic chemicals.


Understanding how aircraft purge toxic vapors
METSS is conducting a series of experiments to define how toxic vapors are purged from aircraft interiors for all USAF platforms, including the A-10, F-15, F-16, F-35, F-22, B-1, B-52, C-130, C-17, and C-5. JPEO-CBRND supports biennial exercise of the Joint Biological Agent Decontamination System
The Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) supported the biennial readiness exercise of the Joint Biological Agent Decontamination System (JBADS) at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. METSS has been supporting JBADS since its inception in 2007 under contract with AFRL's 711th Human Performance Wing,
F-35 chemical, biological decontamination testing
After years of preparation, the 461st Flight Test Squadron and Joint Strike Fighter Integrated Test Force test the F-35 Lightning II’s ability to be decontaminated from chemical and biological weapons exposure. METSS was the prime contractor for AFRL's 711th Human Performance Wing developing and executing this effort.
